It Starts With a Conversation
You love the art, and you know it's perfect for your home. Now let's talk about creating something just for you. We'll personally reach out to set up a private studio session with Welzie. A $500 studio deposit reserves your time and is fully applied toward your final piece — whether you commission something new or choose an existing original. Commissions typically start at $10,000 and in a minimum size of 18 x 24.

Meet us at the Welzie Art Studio
Step into the raw, creative space that is the studio. Feel the energy, the color, and see real commissions and works in progress up close — we like to call it an inspiration place, where the world is your oyster.
You'll meet Welzie, tour the space through each stage of how his art comes to life, then settle into the drawing room. This is your moment: we talk story — you share what you love about Hawaii, the memories and meaning you want to capture. As you talk, Welzie often begins to sketch — and you get to watch your idea take shape in real time.
Step: 3
The Green Light
If it feels like the right fit, a 50% deposit gets the ball rolling — your green light to set the commission in motion. From here you can expect up to three mock-up sketches, refining and adjusting together until the concept feels just right. Once it does, Welzie begins painting your custom background, and your piece truly starts to come to life.
Step: 4
From Maui to your home
Once you give final approval, the balance is settled and your piece receives its protective hot coat, gloss, and polish. We carefully package and coordinate delivery anywhere in the world — and your art arrives home, ready to hang.
You'll feel the shift the moment it's on your wall. This one-of-a-kind story piece becomes something you get to look at every day — happiness resonating from the color, the imagery, and the energy that was created just for you.

Order
Commissions start at $10,000, with most pieces ranging from $10,000 to $250,000+ depending on scale and complexity.
The $500 deposit that books your studio visit is non-refundable, but it's fully applied toward your final piece once you move forward with the commission.
Once your deposit is placed, you're added to our commission queue and we begin research and development on your piece. Most commissions take six months to a year to complete, depending on size and complexity.
Pieces 24×60 and under ship via FedEx 2-Day Air. Larger pieces are custom crated and shipped via freight, with private delivery arranged directly with you..
You own the physical piece. Welzie Art retains all copyright and reproduction rights — including the right to reproduce, license, digitize, create derivative works, or use the image in any digital or blockchain-based format (including NFTs). No license, express or implied, is granted with your purchase, and this continues to apply even if the artwork is later resold or gifted.
No — every commission is one-of-one, just like our originals, and it will never be duplicated as another original. That said, because Welzie Art retains the rights to all originals, your piece may later be released as a limited edition aluminum reproduction, the same way our other originals are. You may also notice certain characters reappear across different pieces — these are part of the ongoing cast Welzie has developed within his own creative world, not reproductions of your specific commission.
